The Perfect Cornbread to Heat Up Your Chili Days!

This is the most ridiculously easy cornbread to make.  Oh and this isn’t a healthy recipe.  I know usually I post recipes that are considered healthy but this is not one of them!  Sometimes you just have to go for it.  Everything in moderation right? So when I say to use butter, USE BUTTER!  It is so much better and you can butter everyone up with this knockout recipe 😉
You follow the directions on the box and make a few additions that take this bread from good to GREAT!  It really makes the cornbread take so much more flavorful.  People will want to know what your secret recipe is but you don’t have to tell them it’s boxed:)  The honey cornbread with the added jalapenos blend so perfectly together.  So you’re probably thinking-enough with the chit chat, let the cat of the bag!  Stick with this brand and the honey cornbread style!  They also have it in gluten free! I’ve tried other brands and they don’t taste nearly as amazing as this Krusteaz cornbread. Here it is!  The best cornbread you’ll ever have.

  • 1 box of Krusteaz honey cornbread
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened coconut milk (Regular is fine too)
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup of jarred jalapenos (can reduce to 1/4 if you don’t like a lot of spice)


  1. Melt the butter.
  2. Dice up the jalpenos.
  3. Put everything in a mixing bowl and blend together.
  4. Put the mix in a greased 8×8 pan.
  5. Bake in the oven at 400 for 18-20 minutes.

Yes, it’s as simple as that!  Recipes don’t need to be made from scratch and take hours to make to be delicious!
